Groove, Restored!!!

I apologize in advance for the short nature of this video. I’m very introverted and my husband walked in on my vlogging, which means I became instantly shy and did not wish to continue.

Probably a good thing for you, as I have a tendency to ramble anyway, ahahaha!!! After the whole rambling about word count thing, I was just going to tell you what’s going on in my storyland anyway.

Basically, 3 out of 5 of my main characters just went out of town for a giant council meeting of leaders, leaving enemy-turned-friend (maybe?) Eddy and his current romantic interest Heike in charge of the whole city. News has come to light that maybe he’s not the one they need to worry about and Heike’s feeling rather grumpy about not getting what she wants. I sense a torrid love affair brewing, and a ton of rebellion conflict within the walls of the city, ending with a dash of murder intrigue and a state of disarray. Nothing could possibly go wrong with this situation. Nope. Nothing.

Anyway, I’ve got my momentum back. 4K today and about 5K away from winning the whole dealio. Of course… I’m still at least 100K words behind the end of my story. We still have a WAYS to go.

Thanks for watching!

(AND WHY YOU NO COMMENT!??!?)

About oneofthedragons

Samantha K. Balk and F. R. Donaldson met on An Archive of Our Own, one of the many fanfiction sites online, when Sam asked Frankie to illustrate the fanfiction that would one day lead to Sam's first novel. They've been friends ever since! This blog was created as a way to share the oftentimes difficult journey any new author experiences on the uncomfortable quest of an introvert for attention to his or her most personal work. It is meant to remind you that authors don't just appear fully fledged like a George R. R. Martin, that all of us start out unsure and feeling inadequate. Feel free to ask us anything.
